Project Description

For the second year in a row, Vela partnered with Volvo Global Group on the production of their Mack Latin America Conference. Vela created an experience exclusively to honor the quality and innovation of the new brand, which was to be unveiled on the third night. During the event, employees were treated to a sneak preview, which would ultimately be the springboard of the new tradition among generations of consumers worldwide.

Our Role:
  • To create an event environment to launch the new Mack brand, from decorations to presentations and everything in between
The Challenge:
  • Coordinate a four-day event in Allentown, Pa., for the attendees to meet and engage
  • Conclude the event with a larger-than-life new brand image reveal event
  • Stay within the strict event budget
The Solution:
  • The account manager and event manager from Vela worked together with the client to develop a vision for the event and establish a schedule for the attendees
  • The account manager and event manager from Vela arrived on site a day before the event to manage the location set up; provide direction for on-site vendors such as the caterers, the AV company and rental company; and assist in all aspects of event management throughout the four days of the event
The Outcome:
  • This bilingual crowd from more than 17 countries met together in one place brainstorming new strategies and solutions to manage and expand their business
  • They participated in workshops and team building exercises to create alignment and synergies among the group
  • The brand was revealed, leaving the attendees motivated and eager to carry the new tradition back to Latin America
